What is this tool?
The Thing From The Future was created by Stuart Candy and Jeff Watson
of the Situation Lab at OCAD University, Toronto, Canada. There are
various iterations of this tool across the Internet and this is just
one that couples it with AI for future provocations. The card deck is
a speculative scenario generation tool for designers as a means to
provide ideation and provocation to their design process. This version
of the deck includes additional prompts to the original.
